Buying In The Big City

It was back in 2008 when I first traveled all the way from Puerto Rico to lose my New York City virginity . My dad had a packed schedule for my mom, my two sisters (soul mates) and me! I guess he didn't think we needed any rest, since he barely planned any time for us to eat, no less breathe. Years later, I have traveled to NYC a bunch of times. If you were to ask me what I enjoyed the most about the city, I wouldn't be able to give you an answer.

Each one of my stays has been different, which is one of the many things I enjoy about New York City. Whether it is for business or pleasure, I manage to make every visit unforgettable.

ENK show edited

The City That Never Sleeps is my destination this weekend. It is the time of the year where buyers from all over the globe travel and meet vendors for ENK International Trade Show in a wonderful place called the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. For 3 days straight hundreds of vendors set up booths where they get immense exposure for their merchandise. They work hard trying to showcase their originality and explain why you (as a buyer) should purchase their lines. I'm not going to lie, 3 years ago (on my first experience at market) I could not believe the amount of options. I was ready to start the day with much enthusiasm back then, having no idea what I was getting myself into. After 8 hours and 2 shows, our day came to an end. Even though I was tired and I had been overwhelmed at some points, I couldn't wait to do it all over again on our next trip to market.

I am excited to see what vendors will offer their goods this weekend.

Catch me at Eleventh Avenue, between 34th and 40th streets, and who knows you may even spot me at a popular venue at night!

Until my next topic...

XOXO
