Runway shows by StyleWeek Northeast have brought life to the fashion world in Providence. It is where designers become the protagonists of the show and they show the audience what they should be wearing in the upcoming season. What the fashion shows don't mention is that you MUST put your own vision into each look. The runway leaves room for interpretation which is one of my favorite things in fashion, people can interpret it differently any way they please. Even when you purchase a piece from the runway show, you have to add your personality to it. Expressing yourself is a must. GIN believes that following trends is ultimately adding your own touch to any look. Make it memorable, make it exciting and make it unique.
It's been two months too long since I attended a StyleWeek Northeast event. I started planning my outfits for the season months ago. My advice to you, if this season is your first, make sure you dress to impress. Keep in mind the trends for this season but don't forget to add your personality too. I can't wait for my new Jess Abernethy top to make its first appearance on opening night, Monday September 13th, and to close the season Friday the 18th wearing Jonathan Joseph Peters.
StyelWeek Northeast has made some exciting changes this season. What can I say, Rosanna Ortiz, founder and CEO, definitely knows how to make each StyleWeek season an unforgettable one.
Season 11 will take place at The Ballroom at the Providence G.
