Tuesday Treat!

T is for Treat yourself Tuesday!

Even though I prefer salty, there are a few sweets I can't live without. Thanks to Simply Home Cooked & Pinterest  I got to make cake pops for my very first time.

Ingredients:

1 box Pillsbury classic white cake mix (requires eggs, water, and oil)

2 tbsp Pillsbury creamy supreme vanilla frosting

2 tsps Crisco

Cake pop sticks

Cake Pop Coating:

1 bag Chocolate Chips

1 bag White Chocolate Chips

1 bag Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips

Bake the cake following the box recipes

cakeAfter is has completely cooled down cut into large pieces and peel off all the brown parts.

Pealing cakeCrumble it all up with your hands and add 2 table spoons of frosting. Mix all together shaping them into balls.

cake ballsHeat the ingredients that you will use for the coating of the cake pops, in this case the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and peanut butter chocolate chips. Dip the cake pop stick into the melted chocolate and quickly insert halfway through the ball of cake.

(note: the purpose of the chocolate is to keep the sticks sturdy when placed in the ball)

rows cake popsPlace the tray in the freezer for 25 minutes. In the mean time mix the melted chocolate with the crisco. Pour all into a narrow tall cup.

Dip and get creative decorating them for the occasion!
